Doyles Room on Cake Network

Even though no formal announcement has been made, it appears that Doyle’s room has moved from the Microgaming Network to the Cake Poker Network.

The popular Internet poker room recently sent out an e-mail saying that there were sweeping changes coming. On Thursday the poker room had a disclaimer on the site stating, “Cake Poker Network Partner.” However, the disclaimer at the bottom of the home page at Doyle’s online casino stills says it is “powered by Microgaming.”

The move to the Cake Poker Network looks to be in response to the Microgaming decision in November of this year to start denying players from the U.S. because of an ongoing domain case seizure in the state of Kentucky. However, this week it was ruled in that case that the state could not seize the 141 online gambling domain names.

The new move to the Cake Poker Network would allow Doyle’s Room to accept players that live in the U.S. Early last year the poker room mad the decision to stop accepting U.S. players citing the UIGEA, as well as the closures of online payment processors. However, in October of last year Doyle’s room allowed U.S. players to play at the poker room stating, “there are promising signs from lobbying efforts in Washington D.C., and most importantly, the availability of processing options for the players that will ensure the safety of their funds.”
